RAISE YOUR GLASS - THE BLONDE IS GOING 18...

Hello Everyone!
So guess what -!!TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!! As unfortunate as it is, my 18th birthday had come crashing into the first week back to school - however despite my lack of sleep and renewed stress levels, I'm determined to enjoy every second! Last weekend my parents kindly organised a party for me to celebrate with family and friends - which I let them take over, as I tend to be unorganised when it comes to arranging events. It was a lovely opportunity to have a toast and say 'hell yes, we've made it though the first step, here's to the rest'!

As I was so wrapped up with dancing the evening away, with party classics including: Barbie Girl and Cha Cha Slide (you get the picture) I didn't get chance to take many photos to show you. Instead I thought I'd post a special 'What I Wore' post, as I just loved my outfit that evening oh and a few snaps with my sister and friends before hand too :)

What I Wore: Dress - New Look, Shoes - Debenhams, Nail Varnish - Ciate

Well that's all from me, I'll do a little birthday post tomorrow for you!
Until then... See you soon

Living like Royalty, Buckingham Palace...

Hello! So apart from being swallowed up by collage work in the last week, I took the chance to join a coach load of friends on an annual visit to London!

For the trip, I wore my super comfy new boots from Clarks! It really pays of to have a great quality pair of shoes when your walking all day, and my boots didn't let me down! As we seem to have finally lost the summer sunshine, I opted for a denim jacket with my new tartan skirt to keep me warm and some thick socks too!
I love London (but then again, who doesn't) and this time we planned a picnic in the park, to visit a few art gallery's for my art coursework and an all important trip to Buckingham palace. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to use my camera in the palace (boo) but it was definitely worth the visit, as the state rooms are truly beautiful! It's hard not to be drawn into the golden magnificence of the palace with the decorative crystal chandeliers hanging overhead and I have to admit the audio guide background music even had me waving like a queen...
The history of the British monarchy is fascinating, and this is clearly a strong influence in the rooms open for public viewing, and the family portraits on show tell the story of generations of royals.
I'd also recommend checking out the gardens and the all important gift shop - though I wasn't keen on the £10 pens.. When you arrive at the palace, there's lots of air port style security before your handed an audio guide, which you use through most of the rooms, it's also handy to know that if you accidentally loose your place on the audio guide each room has numbers which you can type in to refresh your guide. We were also treated to a fab view of the 'changing of the guards' along with hundreds of others hoping to see the parade. It's fab to see the guards in there swanky red uniforms and made me quite envious of their epic sense of rhythm!

As you already know my love of history is touch obsession, so I also visited the Imperial War Museum which although under construction, was fab! I'd strongly recommend the Holocaust exhibition and the Horrible History Spies area looks great too. One thing I would recommend is bringing your own food as museum cafe's are never cheap and getting the tube rather than warning as it's situated quite a way from the buzz of Westminster.

As for the rest of the day we caught a quick tube ride to Oxford Street, as every London trip requires a small dosage of shopping! We found a gem of a place to eat called 'st. Christopher's place' which was a little area just off Oxford Street which had loads of little eateries and boutique shops. I'd definitely recommend visiting during a intense shopping trip as it's not far from Oxford Street. After a gentle stroke through the designer handbags in Selfridges, we were soon back in the bus wishing we could have stayed a bit longer!

What Were Wearing:

Charlotte (left): Skirt/Boots - Top Shop, Jumper -
Miss Selfridge.
Myself (left in right photo): Jacket/Satchel - OASAP, Boots - Clarks, Skirt - Primark.
Lydia (right, in second photo down): Jeans - Primark, Military Jacket - H&M.
Sarah (middle in above photo): Playsuit - New Look, Shoes - Dorothy Perkins.

So that's how I've been spending the weekend. If only every weekend was exciting, as my usually Saturdays consist of piles of homework and plodding around the house in pyjamas!

Anybody else do anything interesting with their weekend?

Style Spotter - Oscar's 2013 Red Carpet...

First off  - Make sure you enter my giveaway I'm running!

I haven't had chance yet to watch the Oscars 2013. Mainly because I wasn't staying up till 2 o'clock in the morning to watch it, on Tuesday night! But, I'm hoping to catch up with it all tonight on my reliable laptop, in the comfort of my living room.
However, I've been stalking the internet, to see the latest of the celebrity's style, as they waltzed down the Red Carpet!
Pale hue's, shocking Red's and lots of jewel embellishment's were a popular choice for many of the celebrities, with cutting edge dresses aimed to catch the camera. I've done a little post for you to show some of my favourite's and the 'style alike' looks too!
1. Jennifer Lawrence get's my 'Best Dressed' award as she wore a 1950's style Christian Dior ballgown. Although a few minor technical faults (e.g. being unable to walk in it), It really stole the whole evening. Her hair was swept back, with complimenting silver clutch and delicate jewellery to keep a stunning minimalistic look.
2. Kristin Chenoweth looked like a princess in a crystal embellished gown. All she needed was a tiara!
3. Amanda Seyfried wore a stunning Alexander McQueen gown. She never fails to look beautiful in the simplest ways, although this dress may not have been the best to match her completion! Still I wouldn't mind giving up my wardrobe to wear this stunning jewelled dress!

Both Sally Field and Jennifer Aniston wore red. Sally in a stunning Valentino gown, was later caught out, when Hilary Swank also wore a very similar at the Vanity Fair after party (seem's all the celebrity's wanted their hands on a Red dress this season!). Still it's fair to say, she looked amazing! As for Jennifer Aniston, she pulls of pretty much anything - and manages to make her Valentino dress look effortless. Many Critic's have claimed her as a disappointment- but it's fair to say not everyone can pull off a red dress like Jennifer!
Pale Hue's were dominating this year's red carpet with Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathoway and Kristen Stewart all opting for a 'lighter shade'. Jessica Chastain's Giorgio Armani strapless gown, dazzled with a covering of crystals (jealous?). Anne Hathoway, after a last minute dress change from a Valentino dress (rummered to have been similar to that of Amanda Seyfried), appeared in a Prada gown - which looked effortless! Kristian Stewart, appearing in crouches, still managed to look amazing as she hobbled down the red carpet in a  Reed Krakoff - and mismatching shoes (but then there's always a first for everything at the oscars!).

Well there's my little review of the Oscars! Did you get chance to see Adele perform Sky Fall? It was AMAZING! (just saying).

Avon Speeddry nail enamel Review, Christmas jumpers, and a few bits n bobs'

So, today's post is a big jumble of Christmas all stuffed into one!
But first, I've been obsessed with Avon recently - I need to seriously consider being a representative to start making it pay, for my over indulgence!
Today's nail colours were two of my favourites, that I pared together while being 'creative' or just 'lazy' over Christmas....

I chose too colours 'Art Orange' and 'Lime Splatter' which bring in the deep oranges of winter, and the pastels of Spring 2013. The biggest advantage of the Avon collection for me is they really are SPEEDDRY, as my nails were dry in 30 seconds. I would definitely recommend this nail polish, as there's a great range of colours, and definitely worth purchasing if your like me, and get impatient waiting for nails to dry!

My sister got the Friends boxset, and between watching the non stop episodes back to back, we've been testing out knowledge, playing the 'friends scene it game'. No matter how old the episodes, I still love some of the outfits, and how the style of each 'Friends' character changes over the years.
My auntie brought my mom some gorgeous followers - It doesn't matter what time of year, I always love flowers to brighten up the room!

Managed to drag my sister into a photo, to show off her lovely Christmas jumper! Since technically Christmas continues to the 6th of January, she's seeking every opportunity to wear it!

Here's my Christmas Jumper - though I've been wearing it most of winter! (shame there hasn't actually been any snow near my home...). Still in good spirits of holiday cheer, I'm sporting my festive jumper for as long as possible!

How are you spending the holidays? We still have a mass of family over every night - and my mom is still finding people to brag at, about our '1 pound Christmas tree'...

Both the Blazer and Clutch are from the brand new Kardashian collection at Dotty P - which may I say I am in love with! Lets get Christmasy with a little inspiration from Nichole Scherzinger's red dress X

There's only 16 sleeps till Christmas!!!!!!
It's going to be a quick post today, as I am currently trying to focus on typing, while watching my favourite Christmas movie 'Elf'! I'm really in the mood for Christmas, as have been doing lots of Christmas shopping today! Although I can't show you any snaps of my lovely gifts, (mainly because my friends are terrible for surprises). But. I can tell you they're verrrrrrrrrrrry cute :)

Have we all been watching X Factor this season? With the final tonight, I thought I do a little post on the outfit, beautifully flaunted by Nichole Scherzinger, (so not you Louis, sorry), on yesterdays show...

If your feeling Christmasy (like myself) they you'll love the stunning red Zuhair Murad sparkly dress Nichole Sherzinger wore at last nights show! oh my, me along with a nation of girls were very envious!

So Nicole might have been concentrating on her TWO final acts, who lets face it are AMAZING... But wow, she's always got time to spread some Christmas cheer! She stepped out onto the X factor stage in the red, sparkly Zuhair Murad dress, and a towering pair of Charlotte Olympia shoes - and why not?

And okay, unless your a millionaire (which is a 0.121262736% chance) you're not going to be going out to your nearest high street store and be able to find anything like this stunning dress, but there's loads of glitter all over the high street at the moment. SO EMBRACE IT!

Lots of Love,

Never to old to be the New Face Louis Vuitton!

Posting from my death bed...
well not literally! But feeling Ill as can be, I've bunked the evening off dance, and managed to find another exciting topic to rant on about, especially for you fashion lovers!(oh lucky you!)

Since my visit to London 2 weeks ago, (and with another trip due this Sunday) I've been struck by the Latest Louis Vuitton campaign, that was showcased throughout Selfidges! This re-occurring 'Spots' has taken the Worlds Fashion industry by surprise. So, I thought it would be my mission to find out what all fuss was about and who this 'wonder woman' was, starring in this World Wide Campaign.

Well, after my tireless hours of endless research (more like a quick Google search), I have all the answers you've been looking for...and more!

Olympic Nail Art - create your medal worthy nails!

Hey Fashionista's!

Okay, I've already said I'm addicted to the Olympics... I think the main reason is for the Gold worthy nail art used by the athletes - I never knew I'd find inspiration from athletes draped in sweat, receiving medals on a podium. The Olympic games has been inspiration for the whole world, (probably because its all that's on TV!) and there really is something exciting for everyone! Many of the athletes teamed up with the likes of Max Factor to create their 'one off' nail designs for the GB team members. Other athletes have opted for the minx effect for their nails... and as always - if they can do it, then so can we!
