DIY Sunglasses...

Hello!
The sun has failed to make an appearance over the last few days. However, by trying to stay positive, I've resorted to a DIY sunglasses post for today. Instead of persuading you to go and get yourself a worthy rain mac (though this might be more sensible) I thought I'd show you how to spice up your sunnies, in a fun way! + it's DEAD easy!

To style up your glasses, all you need is:
1. Cheap pair of classes. Mine were £1.49 from Ebay - get them here...
2. Customise, with anything you fancy. I used Flowers, also from Ebay - get them here...
3. A way off attaching decoration. I used a glue gun, but PVA will also work.

 How to attach your decoration:

1. Staring from the outside, working your way in, put a blob of glue on the base of the flower decoration.
2. Hold the decoration gently in place on the glasses.
3. Repeat this, by adding one onto each side of the glasses, until you reach the centre.
4.  while the glue is drying, remove any glue which may have spread onto the glasses.

You can style up your glasses however you want to, and put more/less decoration on than I have. This is a great idea, if your going to any festivals (*cough* v-festival) this summer, as they look too cute and help you personalise the whole 'shorts, shorts and more shorts' festival style.

I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of these glasses - sun, or no sun - and for a total of £3.00, it's easy to have a go and make your own!

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter!
I haven't yet had a chance to breathe, as Easter is always a busy time singing in a choral choir! (trust me). It was 5:00 am, on Easter morning I braved the frosty winds to sing in the 'dawn service' at my local church - I should have saved my mom the petrol, and camped out at the church!

I had the money from my family and friends this year for Easter, so I was limited to 1 cadburys Easter egg! A shock considering the mahoosive 13 eggs last year... (just call me a chocoholic). Your never too old to have Easter eggs, right?

Today's outfit of the day post, is a little spring number I threw together. The wind is freezing outside so my spring purchases are all dressed with my warm legging's at the moment (or I may turn into an ice sculpture). I love the whole 'naughty schoolgirl' look, that's trending on the high street, but it's not a style I'd usually go for - but hey ho!

You may have seen my rucksack before - it was my number one companion on my visit to Oxford last month, I just love how much I can cram into it!

 My 'DORK' top, which my sister hates, was a little joke to drive her crazy (also brought it Oxford.. supprise supprise). But now I love the colour of it; as I'm currently obsessed with pastels at the moment!

Bringing out the Tartan Skirt...

It's me again! Another 'catch-up' post I'm afraid, as I've been so excited to show you my little Ebay steal...

But before, I bore you with my rambles, I know your all dying to know what I'm doing for my Art Exam this year... or not.

After consulting with my teacher, I've finally come to the conclusion of 'Wedding's' as my theme for this years exam. As a Wedding singer in church, I've watched a fair few weddings in the last 10 years and thought why not combine all my favourite aspects of the perfect wedding and my fashion instincts, into one project?
So there's my initial ideas, I'll let you know how it comes along!

My outfit today is centred around my Ebay Tartan skirt. It was irresistible, with 5 minutes remaining at no bid's at £4.50.... (it's no wonder I have no money!). So, to prove to my mom (and dad) that this time, my 'long term investment' was more than an auction splurge, I'm trying to wear it as much as possible!

What I'm wearing: Skirt and Bag - Ebay, Shirt - Vintage, Necklace - George at Asda, Cardigan and Boots - Primark.

It was worth every penny in my opinion, but that's up for you to judge! Anyone else a Ebay buyer, or selling?
I'm off now, as I can smell apple pie down stairs, and all this talk of weddings, has made me feel hungry!

My Week...Birthday/Revision/and a big Thank you! #1

Okay, It's another quick post, as I'm being howled at by my mother about GETTING ON WITH REVISION! Anyone else got exams at the moment - it's killing me!
First I just wan't to say a big Thankyou!

Since starting off my little blog back in summer, I've enjoyed every second, of blogging, and thanks to you lovely readers I hate spending a second not ranting on about all my interests!
So last week, I hit 10,000 hits which for many of you is like 'yeah and what?' but I was so chuffed!
So thank you!!!

With celebrating my birthday last weekend, I haven't had chance to show you all my lovely present's off my friends and family.....

 This was a highlight of my birthday. I have always wanted a teddy bear from the 'build-a-bear workshop' since I've been about 6. So, when I opened my new teddy from my lovely friends, I was over the moon! Then I pressed the wrist, (and knowing I'm not the greatest fan of One Direction) my friends had kindly added 'that's what makes you beautiful' as the tune.... which keeps accidenty playing when I'm asleep!

 This was a present I kindly brought for myself from Ebay and got my momma to wrap it (best way to do it, if you ask me!). I just love how cute this satchel is - it even has little ears! I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this, in future posts!

Here's my reading list the last few weeks. As you know, I'm officially obsessed with Downton Abbey, so have enjoyed reading the latest series book! Did you know, that on set, it's so cold outside - the actors do all their rehearsals in coats with hot water bottles, so they don't freeze! I've finally got my 'Teen Vogue Hand Book', which I'm super excited about reading...when I get round to it.

 I always love adding new things to decorate my bedroom. This lovely 'LOVE' sign, looks great among my many books on my bookshelf, and I can't wait to add my own photo!

 I love doing my nails, and my lovely friend Lauren brought me this amazing nail set - that has everything you'll ever need to make your nails look gorgeous! I can't wait to do some demo's for you all, though I'll be waiting till after my exams, as my nails are currently bit down with nerves! Whoops!

My Auntie brought me this lovely bag to match my new Vintage Satchel I had for christmas: you can see it here. It's just the right size to put in your phone and purse in, and compliments any outfit!

I'm off to learn about the origins of the Second World War. My own brain will be having a World War after all this revision... Still, let's hope it's worth it!

The weekend's nearly over :(
Today's weather was rubbish, so I stayed inside for today's post!
My latest purchase is this Vintage Style Dress from TKMAXX. I can spend hours in TKMAXX, trailing through racks and racks of clothes - and trust me I always find something by the end of it!

It's fair to say I'm in love with this dress. There's so many ways to wear it, so you can wear it over and over! The collar lace detail is really cute and creates a lovely neck line too. The pattern of the dress is just gorgeous! It has dainty flowers that intertwine with polka dots. I've stolen my younger sisters cardigan (as I do rather a lot) to wear with the dress as it creates a more relaxed style, and keeps me warm!
