Outfit post: Oasap Shirt Dress

Hello! Hope you're having a lovely weekend wherever you are. The sun has been out today (which makes a change from all the rain this week), so I took the opportunity to take a few photos of my latest purchase from Oasap!

I've been looking for a while for a little dress to wear for something casual during the day. I chose this little number as it looked adorable on the Oasap website. I particularly liked the collared shirt as I knew it would look great with a woolly jumper over it. The dress came up quite large for a size Medium, and could have brought it in a small, but the thin brown belt that came with it helped to shape the dress. For this look I wanted to go minimalistic, so I covered up with a teal blue cardigan from New Look and wore my favourite Clark's brogues. My necklace was brought a few weeks ago from Primark, and I felt it added the finishing touches to the dress.

What I'm Wearing: Dress - Oasap, Cardigan - New Look, Bag - Charity Shop.

That's all from me today. I'm eagerly anticipating the season finale of Downton Abbey this evening - as you know my love of period drama's never changes, so I can't wait to see how it ends!

Spring Wish List.. Well a girl can dream, right?

Thank God It's the weekend - that's all I can say!
I got my AS results on Thursday, along with most of the UK. When they told me that A-Levels would be hard, back in September, they definitely weren't joking! It's the moto 'bring on re-sits for me'...

Rather than scaring you away with my moaning, I thought I'd do a little post with all the items I'd love to wear this Spring - just a shame I don't have the loose change to purchase just yet! (p.s. all donations accepted - and no A levels required...).

1.  Moto Teal Cord Pini Dress - Top Shop £42. I love pinafore dresses, especially in spring and it's about time I updated my wardrobe denim's. I'd wear this with a white shirt, some ankle trimmed socks and some creepers.
2. 'Whole lotta Rosie Headband -Baby Blue' - Crown and Glory £20. I've wanted one of these headbands from Crown and Glory for ages, so it's about time I took the plunge, as it'll look lovely with a patterned dress  and sandals.

3. Collar Detail Dress by Wal G - Top Shop £33. Pastel colours are great during spring, and as my love of Top Shop dresses broadens, I'd love this in my collection, paired with cardigan and some brogues.

4.Red Textured Turtle Neck Crop Top - River Island £16. Every wardrobe requires something bright this season, whether it's neon (or not in my case), this red crop top is the perfect alternative. I'd love to go crazy and wear them with some patterned trousers, with your favourite canvas shoes.

5. Printed trousers - H&M £12.99. These printed trousers caught my eye when I was flicking through my H&M catalogue, and well these are at the top of my list for when I finally get a chance to go shopping! Printed trousers are a must have - dress them up with a shirt and heels for work and dress down with pumps and a block coloured cardigan.

6. Shelly Black Current Skirt - Vintage Style Me £15. Vintage Style Me, is a little online vintage store, which sells beautifully made designs. I fell in love with this circled skirt, for the spring/summer days. Wear with a pale shirt, frilly socks and brogues.

I'm hoping to get my act together and get an outfit post up later today, so watch out!
Anything you've got on your wish lists for this spring?

Enjoy your weekends!

Lots of Love,

My Week - Panto Show, and lack of sleep! #2

Good Morning, and happy Saturday!
I've not had a second this week to get on my computer and blog. And... being as unprepared as I am, I haven't prepared anything exciting for you!

I've been in a Pantomime production of 'Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs' by Harlequin Pantomine Productions, this week. It's been so exciting to take part in a production, with a lovely set of people! I've been taking the part of a very 'clumsy fairy' dancer - which, seeing as I'm the clumsiest person ever, hasn't been too difficult!
As the show is still running, I can't spoil you with photo's of such a great pantomime. But ,I'll leave you with a few cheeky snaps and look out for a 'stage make up' tutorial coming your way soon!

Exhibit A - how to dress like a clown and make yourself look around 7 years old...
This is one of my favourite costumes from my show outfits! I've managed to be 10 years younger, with the creation of the piggy tails. Women forget the facial creams - piggy tails are the new 'age decreaser'...
This outfit cost me under a fiver (excluding the tutu) - thanks to Ebay! I may have to wear this bow tie more often!

Well, I'm off now to plaster myself in orange foundation and Barry M glitter!
Enjoy your weekend - I'll speak soon!
Lots of Love,

The first fall of snow...

"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event."

YAY! A few weeks late, but the SNOW has finally arrived!
I've also had the last of my exams today, so the fun can really begin this weekend!
As our school let us out early this afternoon, me and my sister waisted no time to get out into the snow and put out hats and scarfs to good use...
My sister enjoying the snow - minus the frost bite she got afterwards!

I took advantage of the snow to wear my New Look boots, with these great Over boot socks from River Island, that kept my feet EXTRA warm! These boots are great, as they have lots of grip and you can tighten them, to stop the snow getting in!
Another key piece in my winter wardrobe is this years coat from Dorothy Perkins. It's lasted me all winter, and definitely worth buying - as it's passed every coat quality test! My french style hat, has always had a place in my winter wardrobe (since I was about 6..) and keeps my hear cosy!

What I'm Wearing: Coat - Dorothy Perkins, Scarf - TU at Tesco, Boot Socks - River Island, Boots - New Look.
What Lydia is Wearing: Coat - New Look, Scarf/Hat - Matalan.
Did it snow where you are this week? How are you spending your snow day?

I'm about to have a large mug of Cadbury Hot Chocolatte and change into a snuggly pair of  slipper socks, as I think my toes may just fall off any minute!

Enjoy the snow, wherever you are!
Lots of Love,

The Mad Dash Hair Bun; In less than 5 minutes. Sorted.

Sorry all for my late post today!
I've finally got my first Saturday job - working in a lovely cafe near my house! YAY!
Another thing to get excited about is my ADVENT CALENDER! It's the 1st of December, so it's time to get happy for Christmas :D

I can't say my work uniform was very exciting, (unless your an extreme fan of black and white...) so I thought I'd share with you my hair bun techniques, to get a big glossy bun in less than 5 minutes! I usually opt for a messy bun, but this time I felt like a change, and glad of it too!

I also got my first BLOG COMPETITION WIN, thanks to Canned Fashion! I'm not usually successful, when it comes to competition's, so was really happy to hear I'd finally won something :D
Part of the prize was a lovely Christmas Gift Box from Sassoon! As a little thank you, I've also done a trial with the hair products from Sassoon, and just from the photo's you can see the amazing results!

So for the slick Megga hair bun, follow these easy steps and get timing:

Rain Rain, Go Away....

So it's another soggy Saturday and despite being soaked, I managed to get a few shots outside today!
I've been singing at my church's Christmas Fair this morning, it was so cute. Until, we were instructed to sing outside the entrance, where we froze to death! (Lucky for us the rain hadn't set in yet).

GUESS WHAT I'M NEARLY AT 100 FOLLOWERS, ON GFC - thankyou guys! I'm going do a little blog post when I finally reach 100, as I'm on 91 now, number 100 will have a lovely promotional post all about them! Thanks again to you lovely people out there X

Today I've gone really casual with some of my favourite jeans and coat - which I bravely went without in the photos! Oh, and please excuse the state of my hair - my darling assistant sister, found it hilarious to back comb my hair before hand...

Because I've been so busy recently I've noticed some days my only inspiration has been what my family are wearing. With my 'working man's shirt' today, I think I many have been paying too much attention to what my dad's been wearing (help me now) - still it's soooooooooooo comfortable.

another hectic week for blondie...

So, I've finally had 5 minutes to get blogging, as the last few days have been so hectic!
First, I've got some exciting news (well for me anyway) to share with you. If you didn't know I'm a 'Public Speaker' and part of my school team. We compete in lots of competitions through out the UK, so had our first shot at the BPW competition on Wednesday. It was so exciting! I'm the team's chairperson, so It's my responsibility to ensure the meeting runs smoothly!
BEST PART OF THE EVENING WAS... WE WON! YAY!

Please note this is not the real trophy! From Left-Right; Becky, Lauren and Me
So were off to the semi-finals in February next year - though I can't release too many details, in case our eager competitors get hold of my blog! Still, the confidence you gain from the opportunity is just amazing!

I couldn't exactly give you a low down on my outfit for the evening, as my M&S shirt, that gets whipped from the back of my wardrobe for the event, doesn't really shout 'buy me or regret it,' if I'm honest. Still, It's really important to be presentable, as every mark towards the final score counts!

There was one speech I really enjoyed. It was all about shoes. FULL STOP. But, it was interesting to learn about how many shoes are made in sweatshops, in third world countries.
One point raised was about 'most women having over 20 pairs of shoes in their cupboard,' this made me stop and count mine....
I'd love to know how many shoes you have! More than 20? I doubt that would be too hard...

I'm signing off now, as it's already dark at 4:30, and I'm desperate to get some exciting posts sorted for the weekend - so watch out!

Lots of Love,

p.s. like my new signature? hahaha! I'm basically turning into a Barbie Doll!

Thank God it's the weekend! X

Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllo!
It's been nearly a week since my last post, and haven't I been dying for the weekend!
I'm currently sitting in bed with a hot water bottle, and blanket :(
Everything's going to be hectic the next few weeks - so here's my warning in advance.
I've got so much going on, but my highlight has to be singing at the Schools Prom with Music for Youth, at Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday next week! I'm more than excited, as I've never been to the Royal Albert Hall, and it's a dream to be singing on the stage alongside my choir buddies!
My lovely choir in the first rounds of the Music For Youth festival. Photos courtesy of MFY.
Were singing: Somebody to love, and Rent - I'll Cover You (which were singing with a deaf choir, who will be signing with us - it makes my heart melt!).

I'm being very lazy this weekend, I've got a pile of articles that are already behind schedule (thanks to last weeks firework celebrations) that I need to finish. So it's a weekend in for me!

As I haven't had chance to create a half decent post (shall ensure I do later!) , I'm currently going mad with my camera and laptop, so bear with me! :)

Speak Soon!
Lots of Love,

Blondie X

the heart is an unsolved mystery... What Blondie is wearing today X

The weekend's nearly over :(
Today's weather was rubbish, so I stayed inside for today's post!
My latest purchase is this Vintage Style Dress from TKMAXX. I can spend hours in TKMAXX, trailing through racks and racks of clothes - and trust me I always find something by the end of it!

It's fair to say I'm in love with this dress. There's so many ways to wear it, so you can wear it over and over! The collar lace detail is really cute and creates a lovely neck line too. The pattern of the dress is just gorgeous! It has dainty flowers that intertwine with polka dots. I've stolen my younger sisters cardigan (as I do rather a lot) to wear with the dress as it creates a more relaxed style, and keeps me warm!

How Blondie Spent Her Saturday X

Well I bet your thinking 'so where was this weekend's shopping trips?'
No, no, I did something even more productive this Saturday (believe it or not!)
I've been on my first visit to York University for a lecture for History, on 'General Haig, World War 1' by Gary Sheffield. After initial remorse for the long 3 hour journey. It was great!

I just love history, and with an hour to spend scouring the shops I was happy enough with the days visit. Touching up on my History knowledge, and my 'wish list' wardrobe too!

I just love the Cathedral in York! Perfect day for a spot of shopping first! <3

Here's me and two of the girlies! from Left; Georgia, Katie, MEEEEEEEE!

Teen Awards - 'Live While Were Young'!!!!

Just call me 'moody pants' today, as it wasn't easy waking me up this morning!

So I went to the teen awards yesterday at Wembly in London – and well It’s times like that when you love been a teenager – it makes me never want to grow up!
I was just in love with Taylor Swift – Okay, I just love Americans FULL STOP! And well, if you’re a one direction fan, you would have been in your element. 10,000 screaming teenagers all chanting for a 5 lad boy band! It was mental!
Well I’m off to catch up on class work/homework and all things boring! So here’s some lovely press photos ( as in my photos one direction look like a few dots on a very big stage!
Lots of Love

Singer of the Century - Adele X

THANK GOD ITS THE WEEKEND!

It's been one crazy week and I have tomorrow to complete my workload of homework, before I'm off to LONDON on Sunday! *YAY* If you didn't know Adele, is officially the latest singer to complete the Bond theme song 'Skyfall', for the latest movie - and well she never fails to impress! If you've got a few minutes to spare - have a listen!

She's been an inspiration for me over the last few years - long before she became such a national sensation! She really made the 'Little Black Dress' a Red Carpet sensation once more, and well she never stops! She's also happy with the way she is, and proud of being herself, no matter what other's may say. There's not many celebrity's that do that! So she has regrets - but she learnt from her mistakes and well, I think she's an inspiration both musically and on the Red Carpet too!

New Look and Sparkle Fashion Blog Comp X

It's that time again, I've found another brilliant competition to enter, thanks to New Look and 'Sparkle Fashion Blog.' I love my jeans - as they are essential part of every girls wardrobe! So when I was asked to take part in putting together an outfit, centred around the 'classic jeans,' I knew, the only problem would be finding just ONE outfit to enter!

Lana Del Rey Ad for H and M X

ITSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS the weekend!

So I got my H&M catalogue today (that always makes one very happy girl) and was so happy to see Lana De Rey Featuring in the latest Campaign - she's nearly as amazing as the brand itself! There's some really gorgeous pieces that I've spotted while skimming through already. As I'm now out of pocket booking yet ANOTHER trip to London, it seem's I need to start being paid, to have all these lovely weekends in The Big City - any offers? I diddn't think so...

The Latest 'Primarni' Purchase.

So I went on a splurge last week, and currently very proud of my latest Primark purchase (best buy ever!).
Since last Saturday, I was so proud of how much money I came home with after my day trip, that I've managed to spend nearly every penny... Whoops!
Still, It's the first day of autumn today - so I see these beauty's as a good personal investment!

For the girls who wish they could have been at New York Fashion Week X

#hey girlie's! It's the weekend - Yay!

I'm hoping I'm not the only person wishing she could have gone to New York Fashion Week - only dreaming of how amazing it would be! So if you've been like me and stalking press photos or the latest news; the catwalk has showcased some truly stunning pieces! And with London Fashion Week here (oh yes!) I thought I'd give you a few of the New York Highlights!

Oh, and while were at it, GUESS WHO'S GOING TO LONDON TOMORROW? ME!!!!! God i love that city! Though not for a front seat on the fashion catwalk - though it's killed me not being able to get tickets! :'*(

Still, while I'm on a hyper note about visiting my favourite city, I've stolen some Press shots from New York Fashion week, for all you fashionista's to ponder over (and hopefully help you burst with inspiration!). If I don't get chance to update over the weekend, I'll ensure I take lots of lovely 'tourist' shots of the big city!
Love Blondie X
