A touch of denim...

Hello! Today's outfit post, is a little dress I dragged out of my exploding wardrobe!

I love re-wearing outfits and styling them in new ways - which I always encourage this when blogging (as there's no point buying something if you only where it once!).
Today's dress was a thrifty purchase last year, £3.50 from the sales! I've worn it a few times during the summer, but wanted to layer it up to create a spring friendly outfit!

I stole the jacket from my sisters wardrobe - though what she doesn't know won't kill her. Its great to have a sister who has a complete different style to you, so we can always do swaps on clothes when we need to.

My bag hasn't left my side since I brought it a few weeks ago! It was a charity shop purchase, and is so strong (and surprisingly large inside.). This means I can stuff all my essentials in a bag which isn't oversized!

 What I'm Wearing: Dress - Matalan, Belt - H&M, Boots/Jacket - Primark, Bag - Vintage.

Lots of Love,

The first fall of snow...

"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event."

YAY! A few weeks late, but the SNOW has finally arrived!
I've also had the last of my exams today, so the fun can really begin this weekend!
As our school let us out early this afternoon, me and my sister waisted no time to get out into the snow and put out hats and scarfs to good use...
My sister enjoying the snow - minus the frost bite she got afterwards!

I took advantage of the snow to wear my New Look boots, with these great Over boot socks from River Island, that kept my feet EXTRA warm! These boots are great, as they have lots of grip and you can tighten them, to stop the snow getting in!
Another key piece in my winter wardrobe is this years coat from Dorothy Perkins. It's lasted me all winter, and definitely worth buying - as it's passed every coat quality test! My french style hat, has always had a place in my winter wardrobe (since I was about 6..) and keeps my hear cosy!

What I'm Wearing: Coat - Dorothy Perkins, Scarf - TU at Tesco, Boot Socks - River Island, Boots - New Look.
What Lydia is Wearing: Coat - New Look, Scarf/Hat - Matalan.
Did it snow where you are this week? How are you spending your snow day?

I'm about to have a large mug of Cadbury Hot Chocolatte and change into a snuggly pair of  slipper socks, as I think my toes may just fall off any minute!

Enjoy the snow, wherever you are!

The day after an eventful evening...

Only 3 sleeps till Christmas!!!!!!!
A PRE-WARNING - this is one very random post!
In traditional Christmas celebration style, I spent last night (and the majority of this morning) at a friends Christmas party. Being the lightweight I am... I'm now a walking zombie!
From last night's experience I have 3 things to say about house parties...
1. Take your own Alcohol 2. Don't wear a skirt/dress 3. Ensure at least one person is still sober.
Today I've had my favourite Christmas tune (The Power of Love) on repeat - thanks to the John Lewis Christmas advert. If you need refreshing of it's amazingness, or just wan't to admire it again - like myself, I've dropped a link for your bellow...
I also came across some great style video's, from Matalan today. As a fellow Teen, I found it so hard during my younger years to find fashionable clothing that I still felt comfortable in. Matalan's teen ranges saved my backside - quite literally - or I may have been wearing plastic bags as an outfit!
So If your an super cool parent, or haven't a clue in what you 12 year old daughter want's for Christmas - take a leaf from my 'made all the mistakes' book - seek Matalan for help!
There's also 'generation' at New Look. Which is just as great! And obviously every girl my age, went through her 'tammy girl' stage - AM I RIGHT?

Well, once I've recovered I'll make some effort to get a half decent post up for you!
Lots of Love,
