It's time to wrap up - Coat Wishlist..

Hello!
A little update from me first. I've been on stage all week, performing in a musical production of Carousel! It's been such an exciting week, however everything has been on hold, so I now have a lengthy 'to do' list to compete with. Hopefully you'll forgive me for today's short an sweet 'wishlist' post, as I'm excited to show you some of the beautiful textures and colours of the coats currently hitting the high street!

1. Khaki Short Parka £55 - Dorothy Perkins.
If your looking for a coat which you can thrown on during a Autumn shopping trip, and want it to last right through to spring, then I'd definitely recommend a parka style coat, as they're great 'all year' jackets. I particularly liked this one, as it's got fur inside, and a hood to dodge those typical UK showers..
2. Mohair coat £120 - Asos
So pink has taken over this winter, and this over sized detective style coat has to be my personal favourite, as it will look effortless with rolled up jeans. Think modern barbie, and be daring with splashes of yellow and pink - yes I've seen it done!
3. Beige Coat £49.99 - H&M
I love the H&M basic collections, and their range of coats never disappoint. This coat will really give your winter wardrobe a vintage twist and if you love the 'oversized' look (which is always a great excuse to wear Grandad jumpers) this coat will match up with some patterned trousers and thick boots.
4. Checked Coat £129 - Zara
Another huge trend this winter is Tartan (and not just the kilt sort). If your looking for something that looks good now, but will stay on trend next year, then this checked coat is perfect - plus the quality of Zara coats is amazing, so no frost bite for you!
5. Fluffy Swing Boyfriend Pink coat £89 - Top Shop
Finally, how could I miss out this Fluffy pink coat from Top Shop, I warned you Barbie was cool, and well for ultimate warmth there's nothing better than a fluffy coat (am I right).

Have you brought your winter coats yet? My wish list could be so much longer, but I'm still clinging to last years coat until payday!

Stray Decor: Vintage Collection Review...

Hi! Today's post is a little introduction to a new online shop called StrayDecor. The company sell affordable passport, bus pass/Oyster card holders in a variety of lovely designs.
I've chosen a few patterns from the Vintage themed collection to show you. Since recieving the holders, I have realised that they are a necessity to every handbag. 1. because they are always handy and 2. I no longer need to worry about leaving my bus pass at home again (hallelujah)! There's over 200 different designs to choose from, and my personal favourite was the Union Jack design, as it'll be difficult to miss that pattern no matter how stuffed your handbag is!

The Passport holder is sized; 93mm x 135mm when closed and will fit all UK/most international passports! All the products are weatherproof thanks to the plastic covers, and help you identify which passports which when travelling with friends so there's no last minute dramas.
As for the Oyster card holders, I'm always running out of room to put bus, student and rail cards. Rather than bulk up purses, the card holders are a great idea to keep your cards handy and easy to identify!
I particularly liked the great quality for an even better price moto, which makes Stray Decor such an appealing website. With 3 for 2 currently running on all holders, you can treat yourself on a student sized budget. One of the annoying facts of being a teenager is loosing everything and never remembering where I've left them. Well at least loosing my bus pass will be one less problem on a very long list...

V Festival 2013 - Festival Style all wrapped up...

Hello!

So, I've been leaving it a few day's (of recovery) before I finally posted some photos from the V Festival at Western Park last weekend. As a festival 'first timer' myself, I was a tad nervous, when I turned up and saw crowds of around 150,000.  However, it was such a fab weekend - I'd definitely recommend the festival to first timers like myself!

As I went with a rather large group of girlies, I managed to take lots of photos - some against their own will - and thought I'd share some festival outfit ideas!

However, unlike the magazines/newspapers/any other source of media, at the V festival, who seem to all get their photos directly from the VIP area, I've taken a more realistic approach to what people really wear to festivals!

For my first day's outfit, I chose a Aztec Cotton Crop top from New Look, with a bright coloured pair of shorts from River Island. It was freezing when I left home, so I also took my blue denim shirt to cover up - and tied it around when the sun came out!
My Joules wellies are my new best friends, and you may find me out shopping in them fairly soon! They are so comfy, and cute with little doggies on them.

What I'm Wearing: Top - New Look, Shorts - River Island, Denim Shirt - Primark, Wellies - Joules, Socks - Top Shop

From my first day I picked up the following TIPS:
1. Get a bloody good Waterproof MAC just in case of rain - it's really worth it!
2. Take food - because there are lots of reason why you won't want to buy food there!
3. Don't be foolish, wear your WELLIES!
4. Take you bare essentials in a trusty rucksack!

When I said you'd need a waterproof, I wasn't lying! Emily and Sarah (above) both rocked out their rain macs! You can get them for as little at £2.99-£9.99, depending on the quality!

Charlotte's floral crown (above) from Primark was perfect to control camping hair, and she too had the genius idea to bring a denim jacket along - Charlotte's is from Top Shop.
Sarah also chose a sun flower floral crown from Claire's (in 3rd photo up)...

And the crowd goes wild - above photo from V festival website..

So that was my first day of V Festival!
I'll post my second day later! :)

pretty in pink...

Hello!
As I've got so much to catch up on, so I thought I'd do a double post today! If you read my earlier post, you'll know I've been jetting off across Europe over the last few weeks, so my blogging patterns have been very slow! But that's enough of my rambling..

Recently, I was kindly invited to join the OASAP bloggers community. After finding out about OASAP - which sells quality high street fashion - from a fellow blogger, I fell in love with the stores style. In today's outfit post, I'll be talking you through the gorgeous denim jacket, that was sent from the lovely people at OASAP and hopefully convincing you to head over to check out the website for yourself!

Because it was such a lovely day, I chose to wear this pink pinafore from New Look, that was only £8.00 in the sale. Pinafores are really popular at the moment, especially denim ones, but this cotton one is great, as it doesn't restrict you. It's a great wardrobe piece for summer, as you can dress it up/down easily.

I've worn it with a white over sized tee from H&M, which is also a great item to have tucked in your wardrobe. My sandals were a steal from the Clarks sale (my recent weakness for top quality shoes) and I'm sure you'll see LOTS more of them in the future..

The denim jacket from OASAP was $43 and I was so excited to be buying something from overseas! I felt very American wearing my jacket (weird I know..). Its a great quality jacket, which fastens with buttons up the front, and rolled sleeves - making it more suitable for summer nights! You can wear it with pretty much everything, so it's a great cover up in evenings, if you're trying to squeeze everything into your suitcase!

The colour is washed and has a slightly worn style, and it fits lovely. I was really impressed with the OASAP website service, as I don't usually buy items from abroad, but it was worthwhile, as P&P was free and it took less than 10 days to arrive! You can get the jacket here: at OASAP.com.

What I'm wearing: Top - H&M, Pinafore Dress - New Look, Sandals - Clarks, Jacket - OASAP, Head Band - Primark.

Well that's all from me! I hope you're all soaking up lots of sun (and not getting burnt.). As you can see, I'm always an 'bilk bottle' as my dad puts it, so I'll be reviewing lots of fake tan in the next few weeks!

I heard it from a Little Birdie: Review...

LITTLE BIRDIE LONDON
I really did 'hear it from a Little Birdie,' as today's post is a little review of a recently opened jewellery emporium Little Birdie London. I was so excited when I was kindly invited to review an item from the website - as I'd already fallen in love with a few special pieces!

Little Birdie was founded earlier this year, and sells jewellery pieces for every occasion. It offers unique items, that will add the finishing touches to any outfit and I've now added a few friendship bracelets (oh and the rings, earings and necklaces) to my wish list...

Blondies Style Fix: Bunting Necklace Little Birdie London

This bunting necklace was a clear winner, when selecting an item to review. Bright colours are lots of fun this Spring and the shape of the necklace looks great with high neck tops! The necklace was surprisingly heavy, which made it a great piece, as it helps to shape the necklace around the neck. The gold finish adds sophistication to an outfit, while still keeping it low key and fun!

I wore mine with a white collared shirt, and a very bold and striking flamingo jumper (oh yes, I went there). I thought the necklace complimented the jumper really well, and added a contemporary twist to the outfit. The necklace was also adjustable, which means you could re-size it to suit how you want to wear it!

Guest Shoot #2 - Partying the New Year away...

I forgot to give you all a pre-warning that I'm now officially in exam mode...I have 6,  yes, that's  6 AS exams, which all fall in the next two weeks! In between this, I'm off to intense rehearsals for the Pantomime I'm in, which starts later this month!

Between all the busy rants of the new year, (which I'm afraid you'll have to ignore) I'll still be hoping to fulfil my New Year's resolution of providing a wide range of content for you all! If there's a topic or review you'd particular like - please let me know!

So back to today's GUEST SHOOT. It's another brilliant shoot with my friend Charlotte - who your all getting to know as a 'regular' fix on the blog! Her last shoot is here: check it out here...

It was a surprise in itself to see Charlotte, in a skirt? - which was probably the inspiration behind this shoot. It seem's, that I'm not the only one prepared to try new things, as part of their New Years resolution this year!
I just love the lace detail on her blouse, from Top Shop!
Fashion Tip....
-----A plain coloured blouse, with sections of elegant lace detail, is always a great option to wear, if you've chosen statement piece (like Charlotte's Skirt).-----

Her Urban Outfitters skirt is the centre of this outfit, with it's paisley style pattern.
She adds simple accessories to this outfit, to prevent the distraction from the skirt's detail. With a simple pearl bracelet, that compliments her outfit. The black blazer is from Miss Selfridge, and as my house is usually like the north pole... it was definitely needed!
NEWS FLASH: If I wasn't such a great friend, I would have stolen these shoes, before the evening was over! These studded boots from Top Shop are just amazing - don't you agree? There a great example of simple designed footwear, being the best! You can wear them like Charlotte, on a night out, or with jeans on a casual outing.

What Charlotte's wearing: Shirt and boots - Top Shop, Skirt - Urban Outfitters, Blazer - Miss Selfridge

It's time to get back to the revision...
Good luck to anyone who's got there exams starting now - and they talk about pressure? Hope you all make it to the weekend!!!!

Lots of Love,
