Pick of the Day..

Hello!
So I'm finally getting my bottom into gear, as my blog has been a little neglected to mock exams recently! Today's post is a current favourite for my "Pick of the Day" - something that will most certianly end up in my own wardrobe...

I decided to choose this vibrant orange skort from Miss Selfridge (which I've in fact already put in an order for...). Skort's are making a huge comeback this summer - which gives an awesome excuse to continue doing childish cartwheels 24-7! I liked this particular skirt as it was a little different from other designs, as the belt allows you to adjust the fit for comfort, and the colour is so bright and summery! When I tried it on in the shop (because I couldn't resist) I was worried about having to go up a size, but finally Miss Selfidge have come to terms with a normal size 8 - hallelujah!

As the skirt also comes in a fluorescent pink and black, so there's plenty available to suit your taste, and a definite favourite for spring wardrobes! The fabric material is perfect too - not to heavy, but not cheaply made either, so definitely worth saving up your pennies.
I'd style this skort in two ways..
1. Evening wear, with a pair of sling back heels, loose top and a leather jacket..
2. Day wear, with a tucked in over sized top, Chelsea boots, and contrasting accessories!
Here's the skirt link, if you fancy a little retail therapy: click here

Well that's all from me, for today.
Tomorrow I've got a little outfit post lined up so keep watch.

Guest Shoot #2 - Partying the New Year away...

I forgot to give you all a pre-warning that I'm now officially in exam mode...I have 6,  yes, that's  6 AS exams, which all fall in the next two weeks! In between this, I'm off to intense rehearsals for the Pantomime I'm in, which starts later this month!

Between all the busy rants of the new year, (which I'm afraid you'll have to ignore) I'll still be hoping to fulfil my New Year's resolution of providing a wide range of content for you all! If there's a topic or review you'd particular like - please let me know!

So back to today's GUEST SHOOT. It's another brilliant shoot with my friend Charlotte - who your all getting to know as a 'regular' fix on the blog! Her last shoot is here: check it out here...

It was a surprise in itself to see Charlotte, in a skirt? - which was probably the inspiration behind this shoot. It seem's, that I'm not the only one prepared to try new things, as part of their New Years resolution this year!
I just love the lace detail on her blouse, from Top Shop!
Fashion Tip....
-----A plain coloured blouse, with sections of elegant lace detail, is always a great option to wear, if you've chosen statement piece (like Charlotte's Skirt).-----

Her Urban Outfitters skirt is the centre of this outfit, with it's paisley style pattern.
She adds simple accessories to this outfit, to prevent the distraction from the skirt's detail. With a simple pearl bracelet, that compliments her outfit. The black blazer is from Miss Selfridge, and as my house is usually like the north pole... it was definitely needed!
NEWS FLASH: If I wasn't such a great friend, I would have stolen these shoes, before the evening was over! These studded boots from Top Shop are just amazing - don't you agree? There a great example of simple designed footwear, being the best! You can wear them like Charlotte, on a night out, or with jeans on a casual outing.

What Charlotte's wearing: Shirt and boots - Top Shop, Skirt - Urban Outfitters, Blazer - Miss Selfridge

It's time to get back to the revision...
Good luck to anyone who's got there exams starting now - and they talk about pressure? Hope you all make it to the weekend!!!!

We go together like winter and it's jumper...

Happy Saturday :) Sorry I'm late today, I've been busy writing my next article for my local magazine - it's such fun, as I get a chance to write what I want, every month!

Apart from being gutted I'm not going to the Clothes Show Live this year, I'm looking forward to an exciting evening with my bestun's tonight, and a good feast of pizza!
Today, the sun decided to say hello - which I was more than happy about, as I'm really struggling at the moment to get any shoots done, thanks to the lack of daylight and rain...
As I've been slobbering around the house today, I only got dressed around 4 o'clock, so please excuse the poor lighting and lack of quality - I promise to sort myself out for tomorrow!

For those 'one off pieces' - now on the HighStreet X

So, I love Autumn/Winter...
There's just so many reasons why.
Santa comes to town, I got to lots of lovely event, Spend time with family, go crazy in the sales, enjoy snuggling up in my woollies and greeting the fluffy snow each morning!

Winter is also an opportunity to develop your own style, with so many different styles and trends to choose from - what's not love!

I've gone mad over leather, military, geometry and a bit of baroque. But what I really love, is the opportunity to buy those 'one off' look's which last right through till spring, and add some originality to your wardrobe.
Most people think they have to gone on mad Vintage hunts to get these 'gem's,' but thanks to the ever growing high street chain's, you can still pick up some unique items from your local shops!

Here's just a few examples of what's on offer in some high street stores - that you'll find difficult to find anywhere else!

Winter Woollies and Cosy Coats X

So It's been another hectic week in my household.
Now, I could complain to you about how tired I am, or how I still have a pile of homework to catchup on, or that I've willingly volunteered to give up my Saturday to go on an 'all day visit' to York University, for a History Lecture...... No....... Because that would be incredibly dull.

Instead in the search for my perfect AW12 Coat, and some equally snuggly woollies to make a shopping trip worthwhile. So thanks to the Internet and online shopping (MY HEAVEN!) I've found a a few pieces, I may have fallen in love with!

AW12 Accessories! X

Hey Everyone!

Sorry, Post's are going to be slow during the weekdays - I shall pre-warn you of that now! I had my third day of 6th form today - and the 'heals every day' mission failed.

Thanks for all your help with the 'outfit' crisis, by the way! There's nothing like a good sensible pair of flat pumps! So the work load has already started and I'm currently juggling: writing my blog, writing my 'harvest festival artical' for my local Church magazine and frantically jotting down notes on cell structures for biology... But then that's the fun of A levels!

So in-between the frantic mess of my 'back to school' schedules, I've managed to pull out a few 'KEY PIECES' for your Autumn 2012 wardrobe. Her's just a sneak peak of what the great British high street has to offer you!
