Style Spotter - Oscar's 2013 Red Carpet...

First off  - Make sure you enter my giveaway I'm running!

I haven't had chance yet to watch the Oscars 2013. Mainly because I wasn't staying up till 2 o'clock in the morning to watch it, on Tuesday night! But, I'm hoping to catch up with it all tonight on my reliable laptop, in the comfort of my living room.
However, I've been stalking the internet, to see the latest of the celebrity's style, as they waltzed down the Red Carpet!
Pale hue's, shocking Red's and lots of jewel embellishment's were a popular choice for many of the celebrities, with cutting edge dresses aimed to catch the camera. I've done a little post for you to show some of my favourite's and the 'style alike' looks too!
1. Jennifer Lawrence get's my 'Best Dressed' award as she wore a 1950's style Christian Dior ballgown. Although a few minor technical faults (e.g. being unable to walk in it), It really stole the whole evening. Her hair was swept back, with complimenting silver clutch and delicate jewellery to keep a stunning minimalistic look.
2. Kristin Chenoweth looked like a princess in a crystal embellished gown. All she needed was a tiara!
3. Amanda Seyfried wore a stunning Alexander McQueen gown. She never fails to look beautiful in the simplest ways, although this dress may not have been the best to match her completion! Still I wouldn't mind giving up my wardrobe to wear this stunning jewelled dress!

Both Sally Field and Jennifer Aniston wore red. Sally in a stunning Valentino gown, was later caught out, when Hilary Swank also wore a very similar at the Vanity Fair after party (seem's all the celebrity's wanted their hands on a Red dress this season!). Still it's fair to say, she looked amazing! As for Jennifer Aniston, she pulls of pretty much anything - and manages to make her Valentino dress look effortless. Many Critic's have claimed her as a disappointment- but it's fair to say not everyone can pull off a red dress like Jennifer!
Pale Hue's were dominating this year's red carpet with Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathoway and Kristen Stewart all opting for a 'lighter shade'. Jessica Chastain's Giorgio Armani strapless gown, dazzled with a covering of crystals (jealous?). Anne Hathoway, after a last minute dress change from a Valentino dress (rummered to have been similar to that of Amanda Seyfried), appeared in a Prada gown - which looked effortless! Kristian Stewart, appearing in crouches, still managed to look amazing as she hobbled down the red carpet in a  Reed Krakoff - and mismatching shoes (but then there's always a first for everything at the oscars!).

Well there's my little review of the Oscars! Did you get chance to see Adele perform Sky Fall? It was AMAZING! (just saying).

Lots of Love,

'Too school for cool,' SS13 inner CHIC style...

My Pantomime show finally over! I've had such a great time with all the cast and it's 'bring on the after show party' now!

Since finally returning to civilisation, I've been sooooooooooo excited about the return of slogan's and a new adoption of the 'inner CHIC,' featuring all over the high-street!
It's been a few years since it was acceptable to go out in with your favourite catch phrase on your jumper, and pull off a combination of 'school girl nerd' with 'cool chic' - but it's back! I was inspired by Ashish's collection for Summer/Spring 2013 collection, which covered everything a 'too school for cool' teenager could ever need in their wardrobe!

Below is some great snaps form the collection, my own trend wardrobe wishlist, and how celebrities are wearing it!

I also loved the fresh take on the messy bun, throughtout the collection. Using the old school scrunchies to hold a side bun in place - look out for my own 'step by step tutuorial' on that soon!

Check out the rest of the collection here: http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/spring-summer-2013/ready-to-wear/ashish

With a highly needed shopping trip, I've been puttign together my own trend wishlist...

I just love the Top Shop dress, and Geek slogan top! They look great, and you can pair them up with your favourite skater skirts, frilly socks and converst! The red college top is from missguided, and Kapow jumper from Boohoo. These are a great way to dress for a casual SS13 outing; and take some inspiration from Ashish's collection, and add some glitter to make your outfit stand out!

Little Mix ROCK this style. They're whole style screams CHIC!
Here's little mix on Dancing on Ice, they look amazing in their chick/geek look! I love how Leigh show's off her printed slogan tee and follows the trend, by pairing with a glittery sequin skirt! LOVE IT!

Anyway, I'm off now!

Lots of Love,

Happy Halloween!

BOO!
Well, unlucky for some, I'm back to school today. This really sucks, because it's Halloween. So instead of emptying my neighbour's cuboards of sweets and dressing up in my cat costume, I'm cracking down to more homework...
Still, I was excited to see what Halloween inspired outfits Celebrity's have been flashing on the Catwalk this year!

Before I yabber on, can I just put in this little note to show my heart goes out to our friends in USA who've been affected by Hurricane Sandy! <3
My little Halloween treat. So I haven't done anything for Halloween, but I couldn't resist helping my sister to carve her pumpkin! Please excuse the lack of imagination in our pumpkin - I didn't get much said over my smelly sister, who liked it 'just the way it was!'

When the 'Career' talk comes up at school. . .

It's Thursday - Not long to the weekend YAY!

Ever heard the phrase: 'When I grow up I wan't to be an astronaut'. Or 'I wan't to be just like Barbie when I'm a big girl'. Well unluckily for me, I've had my Career's information evening today, and no, I cannot be a fairy princess like Cinderella, when I finish my studies!

So It's finally come down to that all important discussion 'What am I going to do with my life, when I leave my School for the big wide world'. And between summing up my options, I'm still at square one. I'm now on a mission to do work experience for the next 12 months and finally work out what it is I want to do!

If Celebs wear it... So can we! X

Hey Ho, to my fashionista's!

Well, we've got a glimmer of sun here in the United Kingdom, but I've refused to leave my home without updating my blog for you all. If your a Jessie J fan (like me) I was fascinated by her recent make over! She's gone from her 'teenage' bold statement outfits, and dramatic make up. To a more stylish and glamours Jessie J. Rumour has it, she sacked her old stylist, as she felt her 'signature' look, was beginning to look more like a "Cartoon Character" - I can see what she means! So what do you think? Can Jessie J really glamour up forever - for me she has so much attitude, I expected the crazy outfits to come with it.

Olympic Nail Art - create your medal worthy nails!

Hey Fashionista's!

Okay, I've already said I'm addicted to the Olympics... I think the main reason is for the Gold worthy nail art used by the athletes - I never knew I'd find inspiration from athletes draped in sweat, receiving medals on a podium. The Olympic games has been inspiration for the whole world, (probably because its all that's on TV!) and there really is something exciting for everyone! Many of the athletes teamed up with the likes of Max Factor to create their 'one off' nail designs for the GB team members. Other athletes have opted for the minx effect for their nails... and as always - if they can do it, then so can we!
