Snapped in the Summer...

Hello!
Amid the crazy rush of summer, yesterday I managed to spend a few hours with my girlie's, taking lots of lovely photos for my friend Izy's portfolio. She's a rather talented young photographer, and I couldn't resist sharing some of the shots with you all!

For the photos, we did a combination of 'au natural' shots in a nearby field (dodging local farmers, in the middle of quick changes), with some more elegant photos. Personally, my favourite was the 'lets try and jump at the same time' photo - which I will admit, took numerous attempts of epic fails. The setting was perfect as well, as the barley field's provided the perfect backdrop!
Before you take a look, let me thank Izy for a lovely day of laughs, tears (from intense sunlight) and our yummy pizza lunch! Enjoy!

Well that's all from me (for now)!
I'm off on my holiday tomorrow, and my current suitcase situation isn't looking good.. so I should probably attempt to start throwing clothes into the case!

See you in a week,
Grace x

'Lets get Shopping' - Clothes Show Live 2013 OOTD post...

Hello!
It's been a fantastic weekend so far, with my first Unconditional offer for university! I was over the moon, and to top it all off, I passed my driving theory - one step closer to driving (uh oh)..

With my spirits high, a weekend on shopping, catwalks and male models, was on the top of my list when I was kindly invited to attend the Clothes Show Live on Saturday, along with my friend/photographer Emma-Lee!

Due to my excess of around 200 photos of the whole day, I've divided the whole event into several posts - just so it's a little easier to digest! As I'm still awaiting some of the main catwalk photo's I thought I'd do a little 'Outfit of the Day' post, showing you exactly what myself (and Emma-lee) wore! The event was so popular, we struggled to find a corner where we could take some decent shots, so please excuse the slightly boring background! haha!

...What I'm Wearing...
I brought this lovely tartan dress from New Look, for £22.99 - and I absolutely adore it, but then again who doesn't love a bit of tartan? I completed the outfit with a collar and necklace from Primark and a brown H&M belt, which really set the dress off and helped me make it my own. I also decided to pin up the sleeves, as I felt they were a little too long! I also wisely chose my super comfy Clarks boots - as we litterally walked our socks off! My bag which has appeared on the blog before, is from OASAP (you can find it here) as well as my newly purchased felt hat - I couldn't resist it! OASAP also kindly provided me with the perfect accessories, with a lovely pale blue necklace - which is now in the sale!

...What Emma-Lee Wore...
After my own manic shopping spree to buy the perfect dress, Emma-lee had her outfit sorted, with this lovely dress ordered from Urban Outfitters! I just love the pattern and the colours really go well with her New look Cardigan. I've decided I'm going to steal her Top Shop boots, as there now on the top of my Christmas wishlist, as they looked great with this outfit. Finally she topped her outfit off with a bowler hat, brought off Ebay!

That's all from me for now, watch out for the rest of my posts taken from our day at the Clothes Show Live, and if you haven't visited yet - make sure you do!

Lots of Love,

Guest Shoot #3 - From behind the camera lens...

It was back to school today - and didn't the world know about it! My sister yelling 'WAKE UP GRACE' at 6:30 this morning was not the best way to role out of bed - but I'm glad she did, or I would have been going to school in my Pyjamas! (not that I'd complain).

Today's post is a slightly delayed guest post of my darling sister! As she's usually behind the lens, it was great to let me have a go at snapping away (as it's what I love doing). I have to admit, I'm completely obsessed with the use of light in photos, particularly sun set - it always looks so beautiful! These photos were originally a little experiment, so please ignore the fact she has no shoes ;)

Okay, so sister's aren't supposed to pay each other compliments regularly (and it's certainly a rarity in our house) but I love this Jumper from Republic. There was a huge sale at Republic, due to rumours of it closing down. This meant of course, that my sister was first to snap up a bargain! The wool is thick and amazing quality and I love the knitting work on the front and arms.
This satchel is becoming a favourite of ours this Spring, since we snapped it up at a local charity shop! Pastels are a classic for Spring, and well, this satchel is a classic. She's also sporting her ONE DIRECTION wrist band, from the concert she went to last month. Yes, she's a little obsessed. And yes, I can now sing every lyric, to every song, since she plays the 1D album on full blast, in her bedroom....
The sun glasses (which are MINE) are from Primark, and look effortless for summer! Lydia's style is mainly a relaxed casual look. Not like her sister... But, it's great that we can wear each others clothes in such different ways!

To complete the 'Saturday shopper' classic look, Lydia styles her hair effortlessly, by simply pulling some of her hair into a pony tail, and leaving a bit half in/half out. Spring is all about an effortless "up-do's" so I'll definitely be trying this look out...

What Lydia Wears: Jumper - Republic, Bag - Charity Shop, Glasses/Jeans - Primark.

So, you've officially met my camera wizard!
One thing thing that bugs me about blogging is that people may think 'it's all about me'. But it's really not! One of my favourite aspects of blogging, is to take photos of people's style which inspires me (and I hope to do more of this too). So look out! ;)

Lots of Love,

Guest Shoot #2 - Partying the New Year away...

I forgot to give you all a pre-warning that I'm now officially in exam mode...I have 6,  yes, that's  6 AS exams, which all fall in the next two weeks! In between this, I'm off to intense rehearsals for the Pantomime I'm in, which starts later this month!

Between all the busy rants of the new year, (which I'm afraid you'll have to ignore) I'll still be hoping to fulfil my New Year's resolution of providing a wide range of content for you all! If there's a topic or review you'd particular like - please let me know!

So back to today's GUEST SHOOT. It's another brilliant shoot with my friend Charlotte - who your all getting to know as a 'regular' fix on the blog! Her last shoot is here: check it out here...

It was a surprise in itself to see Charlotte, in a skirt? - which was probably the inspiration behind this shoot. It seem's, that I'm not the only one prepared to try new things, as part of their New Years resolution this year!
I just love the lace detail on her blouse, from Top Shop!
Fashion Tip....
-----A plain coloured blouse, with sections of elegant lace detail, is always a great option to wear, if you've chosen statement piece (like Charlotte's Skirt).-----

Her Urban Outfitters skirt is the centre of this outfit, with it's paisley style pattern.
She adds simple accessories to this outfit, to prevent the distraction from the skirt's detail. With a simple pearl bracelet, that compliments her outfit. The black blazer is from Miss Selfridge, and as my house is usually like the north pole... it was definitely needed!
NEWS FLASH: If I wasn't such a great friend, I would have stolen these shoes, before the evening was over! These studded boots from Top Shop are just amazing - don't you agree? There a great example of simple designed footwear, being the best! You can wear them like Charlotte, on a night out, or with jeans on a casual outing.

What Charlotte's wearing: Shirt and boots - Top Shop, Skirt - Urban Outfitters, Blazer - Miss Selfridge

It's time to get back to the revision...
Good luck to anyone who's got there exams starting now - and they talk about pressure? Hope you all make it to the weekend!!!!

Lots of Love,

Guest Shoot #1 - An Autumn's Day

Hiiii there!
I hope you've been enjoying your weekend!
Tonight I'm having a lovely night in with my momma watching some Saturday night TV!
However, I may be in bed, before I get chance to watch the end of X factor! Yesterday I was up till all hours catching up with my girlies. We ate our weight in chocolate, watched every Rom-Com ever released and looked back at some very ancient photos (cringe) of ourselves!
As my Half term is coming to an end, I'm afraid reality has to set in... that I still have a pile of homework, and shortly my 'daily' blog posts, will turn into 'weekly' 'if I'm not busy' posts :'(
But, before I swap my Camera and Laptop for Pen and Paper, I've got a last few days of blogging to cram in for you!
As part of my new idea of 'Guest Shoots,' I've finally persuaded - more like bribed - my friend Charlotte (pictured above on the left) to have a shoot. This is my first attempt, but I hope to make this a regular thing! It was great fun - mainly because we re-discovered our childhood love of Autumn. Especially, the many dried leaves that cover the ground - which are also great fun to throw at each other! So here's our lovely shoot! (please let me know what you think!!!!) X
