Pretty little satchels...

Hello!
So it's start of the week (though it doesn't it feel like it) and a little gift that can through the post over the weekend is what's going to keep me going!

As you may (or may not) know, I have a teeny obsession with satchels, and my latest gift from Oasap has certainly made me very handbag proud!

With a wide variety of beautiful colours I chose a deep green bag with a tan lace around the edges. The bag is not leather, but is made to a high quality which could easily fool the eye. I particularly liked the sewing details around the outside if the bag which add character and make the beg look more rustic. The size of the satchel is perfect for a day out, as you can fit all the necessities in without having to worry about space/bumping into every person you pass/wishing you'd brought your brolly after convincing yourself you wouldn't need it. It's structured frame makes it suitable for work/collage too, and the little pockets on the front make it suitable for storing the 'I'm going to  loose these' items'.

As the first showers of September left me with a cold this weekend - going to a university open day without my coat was not a sensible idea - I'm being a little brave in my outfit choice. I chose a little skater skirt I brought in a river island sale a few years ago, with a new look coral blouse and my shoes which are a new addition to my collection of brogues! As it's London Fashion Week at the moment - though I'm trying to avoid this topic, being gutted I'm not there - I've been getting far too excited about Summer 2014, and forgetting about the long winter I'm sure we've got in store. For that reason, this may be my last 'without tights' post for a while now...so be prepared for woolly tights, thick jumpers and oversized coats!

What I'm Wearing: Bag - OASAP, Top - New Look, Skirt - River Island.
That's all from me, make sure you check out the OASAP winter collection - it looks fab and well I'm a tad obsessed already!

Have a lovely week, wherever you are!

Say Hello, London Fashion Week 2013! #day1

London Fashion Week has officially started today - Hurrray! Although I'm currently bunged up with a cold, I've been so excited all day! (Sorry to my twitter followers!)

For many high street shoppers, you see London Fashion Week as just another opportunity for designers to go crazy with ridiculous looking outfits and super skinny models. DO NOT BE FOOLED! You might be purchasing a copy of one of those very 'ridiculous' outfits, from your local high street shops! For this reason, I'm constantly inspired by Fashion Week and when it's my turn to take part, (fingers crossed for SS14) it will be like fulfilling a childhood dream!

So with Autumn/Winter 2013 Fashion Week underway, I'm going to be filling you in with each day's highlights as they come - selecting my favourites and telling you how these amazing designs could be some of your favourite pieces of Autumn 2013!

One of my favourite designers from today's Fashion shows is Zoë Jordan! I loved the wide range of patterns and textures that graced their way down the catwalk! I found the whole of the show so wearable - especially the warm oranges and fur jackets (though maybe not together)! Zoe is definitely a designer to watch!  With such original designs, I'd definitely fill my winter wardrobe with Zoe's designs.
Bora Aksu was another designer to watch today in London. I'm obsessed with the stunning patterns of this collection (especially the far right!). The start of the show focused on neutral colours - from the transition of Summer to Autumn and the later part was a pop of colour in the form of fuchsias and raspberry pinks. Like many of the Fashion Week collections, there was so many gorgeous textures in the range, and headpieces seem to a central way to accessorize for this Autumn.
Textures went to a whole new level in the KTZ collection today. I hope you like a lot of leather! Everything leather,  from shoes, leggings to jackets - made the KTZ range so distinctive, yet linked beautifully. Oversized hat's looked great, and the vibrant colours in similar collections (Zoë Jordan) also appeared in KTZ collection, and look great in contrast to the dark tones!

So, that's my highlights from today's London Fashion Week, I'll be posting more over the next few days - so lookout.

Also, I'm currently preparing for my first Giveway - how exciting!

Guest Shoot #2 - Partying the New Year away...

I forgot to give you all a pre-warning that I'm now officially in exam mode...I have 6,  yes, that's  6 AS exams, which all fall in the next two weeks! In between this, I'm off to intense rehearsals for the Pantomime I'm in, which starts later this month!

Between all the busy rants of the new year, (which I'm afraid you'll have to ignore) I'll still be hoping to fulfil my New Year's resolution of providing a wide range of content for you all! If there's a topic or review you'd particular like - please let me know!

So back to today's GUEST SHOOT. It's another brilliant shoot with my friend Charlotte - who your all getting to know as a 'regular' fix on the blog! Her last shoot is here: check it out here...

It was a surprise in itself to see Charlotte, in a skirt? - which was probably the inspiration behind this shoot. It seem's, that I'm not the only one prepared to try new things, as part of their New Years resolution this year!
I just love the lace detail on her blouse, from Top Shop!
Fashion Tip....
-----A plain coloured blouse, with sections of elegant lace detail, is always a great option to wear, if you've chosen statement piece (like Charlotte's Skirt).-----

Her Urban Outfitters skirt is the centre of this outfit, with it's paisley style pattern.
She adds simple accessories to this outfit, to prevent the distraction from the skirt's detail. With a simple pearl bracelet, that compliments her outfit. The black blazer is from Miss Selfridge, and as my house is usually like the north pole... it was definitely needed!
NEWS FLASH: If I wasn't such a great friend, I would have stolen these shoes, before the evening was over! These studded boots from Top Shop are just amazing - don't you agree? There a great example of simple designed footwear, being the best! You can wear them like Charlotte, on a night out, or with jeans on a casual outing.

What Charlotte's wearing: Shirt and boots - Top Shop, Skirt - Urban Outfitters, Blazer - Miss Selfridge

It's time to get back to the revision...
Good luck to anyone who's got there exams starting now - and they talk about pressure? Hope you all make it to the weekend!!!!

Motel Dresses AW12X

YAY it's Saturday!
Hope your all getting out your woollies for tonight's Bomfire celebrations! I've purchased a lovely new coat - thanks to Dorothy Perkins, so I'll get my act together and put a post up later today :D

I have a confession...I'm in love with the latest Motel Dress range!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think... Glimmering Sparkles. Delicate Details. And Gorgeous Patterns!
I've selected a few of my favourite dresses,  that I think are perfect for winter parties and let you know how best to style them :) So enjoy, and if you fancy checking out the website for yourself - click here!
This Motel Alex Pleather Peplum Dress is one of my favourites! It has Black Tie Dye, which gives it such a lovely pattern, and fits lovely - great if you want to show off your figure! The Pleather Peplum detail adds further shape to this dress, and really stands out from current trends. This Dress would look great with your favourite heels, a statement jewellery piece, and a a warm leather jacket (as summer nights are a year away!). I'd also suggest getting some thick tights or knee high socks, if your not hitting the clubs in this number! click here to see online.

Will it be Trick Or Treat?

Well, Halloween is coming up and I've had plenty of inspiration for my Party outfit.
Unlike my 14 year old sister, who has decided to go as a 'Cow' to her Halloween Party?

If you are more like my sister, then this post is for you.
I've noised every online shop, for some great 'daily' outfits with a spooky twist and I've got a few simple ideas for you too, to make your costume ideas better than a 'farmyard animal'!

Before I bore you to death (excuse the pun there) I'm on a raid for new followers, so if your a newbie to Blondies Style Fix, please add me to your followers, and I'll be happy to return!
Here's some of my favourite picks from the High Street, which give that 'spooky' feel to your outfits!
Leggings: £15 New Look, Lace Top: £25 River Island, Collar Top: £32 Top Shop, Fur Gilet: £55 Dorothy Perkins, Skirt: £46 Top Shop.

As for some inspirational ideas, that beat the 'slutty bunny,' 'dead school girl,' or 'white sheet ghost'!

House of Fraser - Competition Entry X

Blondie's at it again...I couldn't resist this competition when House of Fraser contacted me about it!

Their branding is so unique and give a feel of luxury! I love a good window shop in their nearest store and have already brought many beautiful items for my Autumn wardrobe, this year! So when I was contacted about this up coming competition, I was struck with choice of choosing the perfect outfit - that in itself was a challenge, as I had a list of around 15...
