A LITTLE CHRISTMAS MESSAGE...

Hello all!
I just wanted to break away from the family celebrations, to say a quick 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' before a certain someone eats all the mince pies! I hope your having a lovely Christmas wherever you are, and have (like myself) stuffed yourself silly with yummy food!
The last few days have been rather intense with last minute present wrapping, tons of food preparation, and carol singing opportunities with my choir - including a lovely visit to local care homes! But today I've had a chance to relax; watch every Christmas film possible and dance around in my amazing Christmas jumper (to my sisters disgrace)...
It's been an hard year, with my last year of A Levels, so Christmas is going to be a well deserved break before I resume the madness of 2014.

Well that's all from me. Its just leaves me to say 'Enjoy the rest of your Christmas Day'!

Christmas Wishes - Blogger Secret Santa...

Hello!
It's been a little too long, as UCAS applications and life in general has got the better of me recently. Since I last saw you I've had my first offer to study a history degree, (WAHOOO) which has put a huge smile of my face and I now have a desperate need to go celebratory shopping!

Today I received a little parcel in the post, covered in Christmas decoration - and despite knowingly opening it before Christmas day, I was so intrigued to find out what it was! I've taken part in a Secret Santa with a few other fellow bloggers. I won't tell you who mine is, as it will spoil the surprise, but my lovely parcel was from Donna from Polkadot-Pink...

oh and please ignore the photo quality - my cammera is currently on charge :(

Donna sent me a lovely selection of goodies, including a wonderful scented Christmas Eve 'Yankee Candle,' which I've placed in my bedroom, ready to light at Christmas! It smells heavenly and was a lovely gesture! I also had a beautiful purse, with a camera detailed onto it - so she obviously recognised my love of photography! Inside the purse, was a beautiful pair of owl earrings (also one of my favourite animals) which I'm hoping to wear soon. Finally, my love of sweets has been rewarded with a big pack of EVERLASTING GOBSTOPPERS - so my Christmas is now sorted!

Thanks Donna for a lovely present, and I hope everyone else taking part loves their presents just as much as I do!

Lots of Love,

'It's beginning to look a lot like... M&Co Christmas Party Collection'

Hello! It's another week closer on my Christmas countdown (sad I know)! Only 6 weeks left till the festivities really begin and in celebration of their new Party range, M&Co contacted me to let me know about they're recent blogger challenge to style a piece from the new Party wear collection. With the chance of winning £75 in vouchers, and my keen eye for something a bit sparkly this year, it didn't take me long to choose a favourite from the collection...
Pricing the Outfit:
Sequin Dress - M&Co - £99, Fur Jacket - M&Co - £79, Stiletto Heels - House of Fraser - £70, Black Clutch - M&Co - £15, Necklace - M&Co - £8

The dress chosen to style from the collection, was a 1920's style embroidered shift dress. If you watched the film 'The Great Gatsby' this summer, you'll understand why the 1920's have been so influential in fashion over the past few months. If you didn't (though I strongly recommend it as a Saturday night in treat) then let me explain how I was inspired myself, by the beautiful 20's, in selecting an outfit from the M&Co collection. First off the 20's were all about the dancing, and being a passionate dancer myself, this dress looked both practical (for dancing) but stunning with all it's embroidery too! If there's one thing accepted only at Christmas - it's dancing with two left feet - and I felt this dress would really let you go wild with the Charleston...The 20's were also about the contrast of dark and light, so this dress fit perfectly with its deep purples and gold sequins.

I've styled this dress with an M&Co silver lined, black clutch, which is perfect for carrying along the essentials. I also chose a black fir coat - also from M&Co - for keeping warm on winter evenings. Fur coat's were also a popular choice during the 1920's, so I felt it was very fitting with my initial inspiration for the outfit! Finally I chose a pair of Aldo Stiletto Court Heels, from House of Fraser, as they added the feminine touch to the outfit and a lovely long necklace from M&Co's jewellery collection!

If you fancy styling your own outfit, in a bid to win a lovely treat of £75 in vouchers, head over to the M&Co blog: http://blog.mandco.com/2013/10/29/blogger-challenge-style-a-christmas-party-dress/#.UoEspid8sxx

That's all for today's rambles! I hope I've given you some inspiration for your own Christmas Outfits... Let me know what you think!

The day after an eventful evening...

Only 3 sleeps till Christmas!!!!!!!
A PRE-WARNING - this is one very random post!
In traditional Christmas celebration style, I spent last night (and the majority of this morning) at a friends Christmas party. Being the lightweight I am... I'm now a walking zombie!
From last night's experience I have 3 things to say about house parties...
1. Take your own Alcohol 2. Don't wear a skirt/dress 3. Ensure at least one person is still sober.
Today I've had my favourite Christmas tune (The Power of Love) on repeat - thanks to the John Lewis Christmas advert. If you need refreshing of it's amazingness, or just wan't to admire it again - like myself, I've dropped a link for your bellow...
I also came across some great style video's, from Matalan today. As a fellow Teen, I found it so hard during my younger years to find fashionable clothing that I still felt comfortable in. Matalan's teen ranges saved my backside - quite literally - or I may have been wearing plastic bags as an outfit!
So If your an super cool parent, or haven't a clue in what you 12 year old daughter want's for Christmas - take a leaf from my 'made all the mistakes' book - seek Matalan for help!
There's also 'generation' at New Look. Which is just as great! And obviously every girl my age, went through her 'tammy girl' stage - AM I RIGHT?

Well, once I've recovered I'll make some effort to get a half decent post up for you!

Okay, It might look a little tacky? But I'm planning on going gold in the next few days - so be prepared! I'm just starting to get the Christmas decorations out this year (gutted), so cranking up every Christmas tune!

The perfect excuse for wearing furs...

7 sleeps till CHRISTMAS! This is too exciting!
As you know, during my hectic weekend of singing at various Christmas concerts, arranging my holidays and enjoying a Saturday night at the Free Live 2012 concert, I did manage to get a few shots for a post done.... (believe it or not?!)

I've been doing some pre-Christmas shopping, as I couldn't wait the extra week for my mom to surprise me! I've been looking for a faux fur since early November, and thanks to 'Select' I finally sourced a high-street steal! Yay! I've also been dying for some velvet in my wardrobe (although I've been avoiding it, due to my best friends phobia) However, Thanks to Top Shop, and my lovely Vodafone rewards voucher, have finally completed my mission...

I fell in love with this Faux fur from Select, as it doesn't spell tacky! I hate the furs that really look their price, and you always have to bare this in mind when shopping. The pattern is subtly, which means I can pair it up with a number of different outfits - I mean who every thought velvet AND furs? The pin attached is courtesy of Primark, and just adds the final touches to the coat. I already went one step further, to buy myself a large furs, but on this particular fur, the three quarter sleeves and cropped jacket, make it great on a night out, as it's not to heavy to carry!

I loved the lace detail on this Primark top. It was initially one of my shirts for sixth form, but it was so cute I've just been wearing it every weekend instead!
The velvet shorts are now my no.1 wardrobe item. I just love the vintage style buttons, and they fit lovely - unlike many of the Top Shop shorts, which are always too big or too small!

Barry M & Beauty UK Sky Blue nail paint...

Good Morning. ~ ONLY 9 SLEEPS TILL CHRISTMAS!
I'm currently slouching around in my Pjays, having had an exciting night out at Free Radio Live Concert, I'm now spending my morning re-cooperating...

Feeling glittery last night, I've used two nail paints to create this sky blue glitter nail colour. First I used a thick layer of Beauty UK blue nail polish, followed by a coat of Barry M glitter!

As you can probably already tell, from previous posts, I love Barry M nail paint's! The paint is also long lasting, and chip resistant - which saves you from the paint of re-applying...
This nail polish will complete you outfit on a glittery night out! And is very subtle so you can wear it with a rang of outfits too.
