NEW YEAR NEW ME..

Hello!
First off I'd better say 'Happy New Year' to you all. Despite the optimistic title of today's post, I doubt a 'new me' will really kick off this year. I've already broken my New Years 'diet' resolution - the nearest to which will be me drinking a can of diet Pepsi (sorry, not sorry). Oh and my wish to study even harder this year has already been distracted by TV and shopping sprees, oh and reading into history books that have nothing to do with my course topics..
My new year was spent with friends and family, with our traditional 'eat too much, drink too much' motto, so we never fail to have a good time! New Years day was along similar lines, though I was in bed before 10 last night! Anyhow today's post is a little glimpse at what myself and my sister wore for New Years - as we were being a bit lazy to do a proper post - he he!
So I wore a New Look Midi Dress, which I'd been saving to wear for a special occasion. I just love the pattern and the colours in the dress! It was £10 in the sale, and I'm sure will get plenty more use in the new year! I paired it up with a pair of heels from Dotty P and a chunky necklace from Primark! Lydia opted for her new peplum top (also from New Look) and black leggings! She probably had the best idea in terms of outfit choice, as playing Twister in a midi skirt is quite a challenge...
I hope you too had a lovely New Year - lets make 2014 a good'un!

A touch of Aussie hair therapy...

I hope your New Year celebrations have been enjoyable! I'm afraid I've been off the blogosphere the last few days, as I've been locked in my room to revise! So today's post will be short and sweet, focusing on my favourite hair therapy for this time of the year!

There are three things my hair hates about winter:
1. I end up turning Ginger (as I refuse to use hair dye).
2. I get split ends - probably from straightening my hair way to much.
3. I always find my hair goes really dry/tangled during the winter months.

As a result of trying endless bottles of 'leave-in conditioners' which will give you that 'endless shine'... I've come to one conclusion... Half the time, your better off ignoring what the label says on the bottle!

As a result of this tireless exercise, I've finely found the spray in conditioner beauty I've been looking for... A beauty conditioner that caters for MOST of my demands - missing out the turning Ginger aspect, which is pretty much inevitable, with the  lack of sunshine and more rain clouds the UK gets, in winter months!

Aussie has saved my life on several 'bad hair day's', and now this Miracle spray in conditioner, is my very best friend! If you've tried it for yourself you'll know what I mean!
It lasts around 3 months used wisely, and is definitely worth paying the extra pound!

“Another fresh new year is here . . . Another year to live!"

With a little inspiration from IFB Project #76 I've come up with a few resolutions for the New Year!
It's never too early to think of your new years resolutions - and hopefully this will give you some inspiration, for when the clock hit's 12!

1. Eat Less, Blog More!
It's time I put down the Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Ice Cream, and Haribo sweets, and concentrated on creating original posts for my lovely followers!
If this involves writing sticky labels on every biscuit tin, then that's what I'll have to do!

2. Reach out to new blogging friendships
It's very well having a blog, which is your own 'little space'... but ignoring the many other bloggers out there, is no advantage for you! It's great to reach out and seek further inspiration from other bloggers, which could benefit your own blog too!
My plan, is to seek fresh and original bloggers, follow their blogs, and seek inspiration!

3. 'Giving rather than Receiving' - bring on the Giveaways!
Yes that's right! I'm breaking all my piggy banks open, to provide some great giveaways for my lovely followers (well it's about time isn't it!). 2013 is going to be all giving from me!

4. Become too 'School for Cool'
Grades, Grades, Grades. Life evolves around getting the grades at school, so focusing my time on my exams  is essential! Work experience, is also key, and thanks to my blog, I've got the support and confidence, to apply for work experience!

5. Express Yourself
When I started my blog up in the summer, a blogger told me 'always express who you are'! It's important to show your personality, especially when blogging, as it's what makes each blog so unique! My resolution is to embrace my own personality, and ensure everyone see's me on my blog, as who I really am!

So what's your New Year's resolution?
What ever it is, start planning - AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!
And what every you decide - do it fashionably! :)

Lots of Love,
